“Landmark” judgment for people with mental disorders
A judge in the Court of Protection has decided that it would be lawful for carers to arrange for a 27-year-old autistic man to have contact with a sex worker.
The man, who can’t be identified, has Klinefelter syndrome, a genetic disorder in which a male is born with an additional X chromosome. He was later diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder.
