MPs and peers call for amendments to proposed restrictions on protests
The right to protest should be enshrined in law, a committee of MPs and peers say today. The recommendation is one of a series of amendments that parliament’s Joint Committee on Human Rights wants made to part 3 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill, currently in its Commons committee stage.
