Labour’s policy seems to be the same as the Conservatives’, only more so
Labour will build the prison places that are needed, the shadow justice secretary promised yesterday. Shabana Mahmood was responding to a report in The Times that domestic abusers were being let out of prison early, even though probation officers had raised concerns about risks to the public.
