If true it is extremely concerning that the number of complaints has increased so much but the number of investigations has decreased. How can that be justified?

And the last time you raised this topic l asked the question “what was the Regulator’s response to the complaints about the firms which did in fact go bust leading to large losses for clients and/or the solicitors’ indemnity fund? ” .

Did they investigate these complaints about these firms or were they amongst the many that got away? We still have no answer.

We have a collapse in the effectiveness of regulation across the board and the legal profession is no exception.

I don't know what's going on with the SRA, but I remember rumblings of them being ineffective and less likely to investigate than before way back in 2019 when I was studying law at uni
