Yesterday’s statement from Brandon Lewis on the legacy of Northern Ireland’s past was short on detail. The Northern Ireland secretary told MPs very little about the “statute of limitations” he is proposing. A command paper published alongside his statement told us virtually nothing about what the promised legislation would say.
