A Lawyer Writes
This is a blog about developments in the law. Although the blog is new, its author is not: I have made my living for 35 years by reporting, explaining and commenting on legal news. You can read more about me here.
If you subscribe to this blog, you’ll receive an email whenever I publish a new article or podcast. For columns commissioned by publications such as The Critic and the Law Society Gazette, I’ll send you the first few lines and a link to that publication’s website. The same goes for programmes like Law in Action on BBC Radio 4. I may occasionally send you links to other pieces that interest me. All these updates will arrive in your inbox free of charge and without any advertisements.
In addition, I write pieces explaining, analysing or commenting on developing news stories. At the moment, these are also free. But from 1 October I shall start charging a small monthly fee for pieces that are not published elsewhere. In return, you’ll have the full analysis delivered to your inbox the moment it is ready.
I hope you’ll consider supporting my work in this way.
