What happened regarding Dinah Rose KC was disgraceful and has served to highlight how poorly proceedings against less prominent barristers have been handled.

I appreciate this is a little tangential, but I notice from the table that the Archbishop of Canterbury (with only partially assuring leadership) regulates notaries. How on Earth did that happen?

No mention of SLAPP’s & the influence of big money through strategic litigation, it’s not going to go away🤷

Helpful on importance of criminal bar - sad it’s mainly seen as eye candy for E&W jurisdiction’s international attractiveness though😔

Will hopefully run into trouble with his housemaster like approach to social media & counsel 🤞

The elephant in the room remains the number of unregistered barristers. Since there is no requirement to register with the Regulator, the BSB can only guess at their numbers, and their activities. A Regulator who is unaware of both of these, is a Regulator only en titre, rather than de facto. In no other profession is there such a disconnect between the Regulator and those whom it nominally regulates.
