I see you were right about Lloyd-Jones. Sir David Richards also makes a comeback to the Judiciary.

So two white men over 70. Perhaps not the most diverse appointments!

Lord Lloyd-Jones is no doubt looking forward to embracing retirement but I wonder if there is any impediment at law to him being reappointed once the Pensions Act becomes law. Otherwise there are not many LJ's who have a significant connection with Wales. Nicola Davies will be 69 in March so the new Act does give her an opportunity for appointment.

It will be interesting to see if Lord Burnett is on the selection panel. He will have 5 years as Chief in October and might wish to join the Supremes himself.
